Medical Aid Foundation’s Relief Operations
 

A 25-member team of the social service division of Medical Aid Foundation returned from Sehwan on Saturday after completing an 8-day medical camp-relief tour of the district two phases.

The team headed by Dr Saira khan, distributed relief goods among 3,900 families of 16 villages in Sehwan and Dadu, and organized free medical camp and provided treatment to over 4,400 patients.

These camps were set up in primacy school of Talti where the flood affected from the adjoining Katcha area had come in, in hundreds.

The villages covered were Bubak, Bambha, Bhaan Syedabad, Talti and its adjoining Katcha areas, Hajiani, Gadjat Miani, Lashari, Ahmed khan Lashari Goth, Lal khan Lashari Goth, Kot Lashari Goth, Gadhi Karampur, Wadero Peeral Halepota Jo Goth, Jilbani, Durri Dero, Neuwahan Goth.

The people of these areas are living in appalling conditions with little or nothing to survive on. Their lands are submerged and there is danger of epidemic in flood affected areas, the Foundation said.

Diseases already taking their toll as the majority of the people were suffering from Malaria & Gastroenteritis. Children are suffering from malnutrition and stomach ailments. The medical and foundation will continue its flood relief operation for another 6 weeks.
