MAF Distributes Free Ration to 180 Women
 

The 15 members of Social Service Division of the Medical Aid Foundation visited Umerkot for the distribution of dry ration to the poor people of Umerkot and Shadipalli.

Free medical camp in Shadipalli could not be held. When the medical team arrived in Umerkot no adequate arrangements was made by D.C Umerkot and members of the Press could see themselves the lack of coordination by the SDM Umerkot.

In a couple of hours hundreds of people gathered at the Taluka hospital and treatment was given to 580 patients and ration bags to 180 when these contained, rice, sugar, dal, tea, dry milk, fruit juice and nimko.

Madam Hayat Gazazz w/o the Consul General of Saudi Arabia provided the ration & juice for the poor.

Medical facilities in this area are grossly inadequate. Most affected were the women and children who were very anemic and mal-nutritional. Basic health Units are not functioning in Umerkot and Chhor and doctors appointed for Taluka Hospital are never present.

Indoor patients of the Taluka Hospital complained of not getting proper medical attention. The Medical Aid Foundation team returned on Saturday after two days visit. Three Medial camps have been setup in the holy month of Ramazan and large quantities of medicines have been sent to Chhor, Mirpurkhas Distt Munndhar and Sial in District Dadu, Free medical camp also setup in last week in keti Bunder.

Sever cases were detected and arrangement were made to bring them to Karachi for further evaluation and treatment. They will be hospitalized in Rahatkada Hali Road, Karachi.
