MAF Provides Ration, Medical Assistance to 4,000 People in 25 Villages

 

A team of Medical Aid Foundation visited Sial and Mondhur villages and adjoining Katch areas of Jatoi Goth, Mastoi Goth, Choowhiwan, Sheikh Gulab, Lashari, Jamali, Gul Mohammad Koreja, Ahmed Khan Behrami village, Daudhani Phawar, Rajhani etc.in Daddu District.

The 4 day camp was hectic as hundreds of people came to avail the ration bags and medical assistance.

People waded through water several miles to get to the camps. Evenings are very chilly and blankets and sweater were given to the sick, the elderly and children.

Over four thousand people were given medical assistance and 3500 packets of food containing rice, atta, sugar, tea, lentils, biscuits were distributed per family.

Malaria is rampant and so is gastroenteritis. Many cases of cerebral malaria were also detected. Jaundice and typhoid fever, skin infections are on the rise.

The ford ambulance donated by the Rotary Club of Watford North was made use of as a mobile clinic on the Bund. The doctors who accompanied team were Dr Saira Khan, President MAF, Dr Rafiqu Daud Pota, Atta Mohammad Chandio, Taufeeq Ahmed, Dr Mohammad Siddiqe, Dr. Ali Shah, Dr. Manzoor Ali, Dr Abdul Rehman, Dr Abdul Ghaffar Bhatti and volunteers Khurshid Ali, Ahmed, Nadeem Badshah, S.Aleem, Zahid, and Sophia Khan distributed the relief goods along with the local resident.

The relief medical camps of Medical Aid Foundation will continue for further 8 weeks.
