THT, MAF Holds Medical Camp at School

 

The Medical Aid Foundation organized a medical camp at government Primary Lower Secondary Intelligence School, Sultanabad under its school health programme at the request of “Help Line Trust”.

MAF is working to promote the early detection of cancer and primary health care disease and the adopt school programme” by the Help Line Trust is the need of the hour to screen young children and diagnose many diseases in its early stages.

The senior pediatricians Dr. Mushtaq, Dr. Mashkoor, Dr. Nighat, Dr. Khalida Dr. Salman, Dr. Mohammad Soomro Dr. Saira S. Khan and Dr. Niaz checked the 365 students. Most of them suffered from upper respiratory tract infection, dental and worm infection (helminthich infection). Others had eye sight problem, otitis media (ear infection and skin disease). Two cases of tuberculosis and hepetic infection were also found.

The children were provided with medications for their respective problem and vitamins were given to the children who were weak and under nourished.

MAF will also investigate the children suffering from tuberculosis, kidney and skin infection, and propose to conduct regular camps for dental hygiene immunization, eye test and hepatitis. The doctors advised the children on health, hygiene and diet and also explained the hazard of passive smoking, pan, chhalia, and panmasala.
