Medical Aid Foundation holds free medical camp at Bhitshah

 

Karachi, March, 13 (PR): A 25-member team of Medical Aid Foundation cancer division held a free medical camp at Bhitshah District Hyderabad. Dr. Nazam accompanied the team as a Sonologist. A large member of women turned up at the camp for examination and ultrasound. Costly medicines were given to the patients and a variety of lab test, including CP, ESR, urine DR and blood sugar were conducted by and efficient lab team of MAF.

Although Bhitshah is close to Hyderabad, the practicing doctors charge exorbitant fee from the poor patients due to which he patients refrain from going them, Banners, and pamphlets were distributed a week before the camp and families came from adjoining villages in donkey carts as well as on foot. An old artisan of the Darbar of Bhitshah, who is now a very sick and totally dehydrated, was given a drip infusion and three-week medicines after through examinations.

Altogether, 25 patients were listed for treatment at Medical Aid Foundation Center in Karachi, eleven out of these patients had cataract while four women had breast lumps, three have abdominal mass and six children needed immediate surgery for ear problem. T.B and skin (Scabies) was reported and a total number of 11,180 patients turned up at the camp.

Commissioner, Hyderabad Division, Mr. Nazar Hyder Meher, and Additional I.G. Police, Sindh, Karachi, Mr. Asad Ashraf Malik also visited the camp.
