A 22-member team of Medical Aid Foundation conducted ad free medical camp at KMC dispensary, Future Colony, Landhi, District Malir recently.
The Medical Aid Foundation was assisted by a team of 19 doctors from various specialties and public awareness group i.e. TB Association leprosy center, vaccination center, ultrasound, skin and orthopedic, thalasemia center diabetic center, gynecologist and cardiologist.
Prof Mukhtar Ahmad, eye specialist, Dr Chaudry Rashid Khan of PNS Shifa, demonologist, Dr Zulfiqar Hussain, oncologist, Dr Nazima, sinologist and Dr Gauhar Rasool, nephrologists also attended the camp.
1,346 patients suffering from various diseases were examined, provided medicines and carried out lab tests free of cost.
12 cataract patients were referred to Professor Mukhtar Ahmad, 12 children were sent to ENT specialist, 14 skin diseases patients were referred to specialist, 12 women were sent for D&I, 6 women were sent for D&C, 8 kidney patients were referred to Dr Usmani at JPMC and 7 cancer cases were referred to RahatKada.
612 women patients were examined in the camp. Many were under-nourished with low hemoglobin. Ultrasound was done by Dr Nazima, sinologist. Medicines were provided to them free of cost, says a press release. |
