The Medical Aid Foundation led by Saira S. Khan conducts flood relief and medical camp at Mehr, fareedabad and adjoining villages of goth Allah Dino, teewio, Mathe Ankh Khadai, Bhambha dera, Wali Mohammad Rind, ali Buksh, Teenhio, choto Mirwani, Saj jan Mirwani.
Goth Sajjan Mirwani is completely under water and the entire village is submerged rendering 502 people homeless. They have taken shelter in girls middle school, Union Council Building, and Vocational Centre, and Primary School, Fareedabad.
Over 2,000 patients were examined and fifteen hundred families were given relief good and ration consisting of rice, sugar, daal, tea, powder milk, biscuits and matches.
The damage done by the floods is colossal and the water will take months to dry. People have lost all their belongings and cattleheads. The Medical Aid Foundation team had to go to the villages by boat as there was no other access to the people; who were looking weary emaciated and weak.
The worst were the women and children as they were suffering from malnutrition. Immediately help is required in Fareedabad and Mehr and its adjoining villages as gar troenteritis, skin infection d malaria was rampant.
Major health problems is being faced due to lack of clean drinking water. People are using the flood water for drinking purposes which is causing stomach and liver deseases to rise. The medical aid foundation plans to setup relief and medical camps on all weekends till December to provide succor to the suffering humanity.
